Swimming Pool Overflow Grating and Retaining Angles
A common problem on swimming pools is failure of the grill retaining angles that support the drainage grills. This is an area that is neglected during construction which over time causes the grills to become unsupported and unsafe.
This is for a number of reasons:
• Angles not bedded on a suitable chlorine resistant adhesive.
• Angles not from a suitable material meaning no adhesion.
• No angles in place at all.
• Insufficient landing to support the angle either from day 1 or due to erosion in the support.
Whatever the reason for the problem Poly Advisory have the solution using composite retaining angles and two-pack Epoxy adhesive and grout. These can either be installed at the existing width or if there is insufficient support we can cut the floor tiles to widen the grill to achieve full support. Poly Advisory can provide the HDPE drainage grills to suit whatever the size.
All works can be carried out at night out of swim time sectionally to allow the pool to open each day eliminating any loss of revenue from pool closure.
