Recessed Access Covers to Accept Tiling
Conventional stainless steel access covers are a major ongoing problem within swimming pools. The stainless steel lids are filled with screed or concrete prior to tiling making them very heavy causing operational issues when staff have to lift the lids. The stainless steel even when high grade corrodes causing the lid to bond to the frame making them very difficult to lift. This then results in broken tiles around the lid and frame when maintenance staff try to use force to lift the lid.
Poly Advisory have developed a complete composite lid and frame to eliminate these issues. The lid is lightweight and recessed as standard to 12mm to accept tiles. The lid and frame can be manufactured any size up to 900mm to suit the concrete void or tile modules. The frame is supplied with an MDF blank for the construction phase, the frame is installed and tiled up to. The MDF blank is then removed and the composite lid installed. The lid has 4 x M8 316 stainless steel fixings which when removed expose M10 stainless threads for the lifting eyes.
